Why did Lord Vishnu take Parshuram Avatar?

Parashurama, (Sanskrit: “Rama with the Ax”) one of the 10 avatars (incarnations) of the Hindu god Vishnu. When Jamadagni suspected Renuka of an unchaste thought, he ordered Parashurama to cut off her head, which the obedient son did.

Was Parshuram an incarnation of Vishnu?

Lord Parshuram is the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He was born on the third day of Shukla Paksha of Hindu month Vaisakh. The aim of his birth was to help Mother Earth get rid of sinful and destructive monarchs that neglected their duties. His birthday is known as ‘Parshuram Jayanti’ or ‘Parshu Rama Dwadashi’.

Why did Rama get exiled?

Rama is the hero of the Ramayana epic, an incarnation of the God Vishnu. The eldest and favourite son of Dasaratha, King of Ayodhya, he is a virtuous prince and is much loved by the people. He is exiled from Ayodhya due to the plotting of his stepmother, Kaikeyi.

To end his bad deeds and avenge all kshatriyas kings who had become evil and were troubling the brahmins, Lord Vishnu came to earth in Parashurama avatar.Parshu means axe and so his name means Rama-with-the-axe. He was born in Brighu clan to Sage Jamadagni and Renuka.

How did Lord Vishnu in Parashuram aavatar kill Kshatriya kings?

Parashurama then settled on mountain Mahendra. Parashurama had a prolonged life. He was alive even during the incarnation of Krishna. In this way Lord Vishnu in Parashuram aavatar killed kshatriya kings, who were unrighteous, proud, and cruel to their subjects, and unfriendly to Brahmins.

Who is Parashuram in Hinduism?

Parashuram is the God who killed his own mother, Renuka and his brothers. Parashuram is the avatar of Lord Vishnu. In Hinduism, Parashurama (or Parshuram ) is said to be the sixth avatar (incarnation) of Lord Vishnu.

Why did Parasurama not kill Ravana?

But Ravana was not a Kshatriya, nor he was a tyrant king. So the karmic consequences did not lead to Parasurama killing Ravana. There should be a reason for killing him right, because as we believe nothing happens randomly and follows a Karma consequences.
