What time do MIT regular decisions come out?

Decisions will be released mid-December for Early Action and mid-March for Regular Action.

Does MIT do interviews for regular decision?

Interviews are conducted from October through November for Early Action and December through January for Regular Action. Interviews are not a required part of the MIT application. While we try to offer as many interviews as we can, we have limited availability and may not able to offer interviews to all applicants.

MIT releases its undergraduate admissions decisions each year on Pi Day, March 14.

That said, we accept financial aid applications on a rolling basis after the deadline—and if you would like to wait until you learn if you are admitted, that is fine too.

Is MIT Early Action restrictive?

Rules and restrictions: Early Action is an option for all applicants, domestic and international. Our Early Action isn’t single-choice, binding, or anything like that. However, if you apply to another school during Early Action that does have a restriction, MIT requires that you respect those rules.

When will I receive my admissions decision email?

Applicants will receive the email about a week prior to the release of decisions. Admissions decisions will be available exclusively online. Decisions will not be released via email or snail mail. Following the release of admissions decisions, however, you may receive a package from the admissions office!
