What is the key difference in the preparation of the JEE Mains and advance?

The primary difference between JEE Advanced and JEE Main is that the former is only for admission to the Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs). On the other hand, JEE Main is for admission to several National Institute of Technologies (NITs) along with other central-aided engineering colleges in India.

Is there any difference in syllabus of JEE mains and advanced?

There is also a slight change in the syllabus of both JEE Mains and Advanced. Topics included in JEE Advanced and not in JEE Main Physics: Thermal Physics: Newton’s law of cooling; Blackbody radiation; Absorptive and Emmissive powers; Kirchoff’s law; Wein’s Displacement Law; Stefan’s Law.

Jee mains is a 3 hour exam comprising of 30 questions each in PCM. The marking system is +4 for a right answer and -1 for wrong answer. The pattern of jee mains is fixed and does not change. But jee advanced; is a 6 hour exam ( 2 papers of 3 hrs each).

How many attempts in JEE Main vs JEE Advanced?

JEE Mains VS JEE Advanced – No. of Attempts! The JEE exam authorities have set certain rules for the number of times a student can attempt these exams. The number of times a student can attempt JEE Main is fixed. He/she can give this exam 6 times in 3 consecutive years.
