What happens if you fail a class in UC?

In order to have the grade from the original attempt removed from your GPA calculation, a Grade Replacement Application will need to be submitted and approved by the class offering college of the new class. Students are allowed to replace up to 12 semester credit hours under the Grade Replacement Policy.

What happens if I don’t pass a class Berkeley?

The student must complete all coursework associated with the incomplete by the completion deadline and the faculty must replace the “I” grade in CalCentral by the lapse date. If the incomplete grade is not replaced, it will lapse to an F or NP, depending on the original grading basis.
