The study, which surveyed 1,300 professionals, found that law professionals are the least motivated with eight out of 10 claiming that they are bored with their work. Project management followed in second place with support functions coming in at third.

Does accounting require hard math?

Yes, people with Economics and Finance degrees can become CPAs if they meet the minimum educational and work experience requirements that we talked about above, but it’s not easy. The hardest part for these candidates to get certified is their accounting education. Most Econ and Finance majors don’t take many accounting classes in college.

What can you do with a CPA degree?

Pursuing other in-demand credentials, such as a master’s degree in accounting, an MBA or a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation, can complement your CPA designation and help prepare you for a financial or business leadership role as well.

How can I become an accountant with an accounting degree?

There are two good ways to do this. You can either simply take more accounting classes at the undergraduate level or you can apply for a graduate-level business degree like an MBA. Once in the graduate program, simply take as many applicable accounting courses as you can.
