How many flight hours do you need to become a first officer?

It’s a different story in the US. In the US, pilots are required to have 1,500 hours total time before they can qualify to become an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and fly turbine-powered engine aircraft carrying passengers.

MTOW is the heaviest weight at which the aircraft has been shown to meet all the airworthiness requirements applicable to it. MTOW of an aircraft is fixed and does not vary with altitude, air temperature, or the length of the runway to be used for takeoff or landing.
