How do I qualify for Nptel exam?

The pass criteria for exams is being changed from July 2019. A learner will pass and be certified only if Average assignment score (out of 100) >= 40 AND Final exam score ( out of 100) >= 40. E-verifiable certificates are made available on nptel.ac.in/noc Only e-certificates will be published.

  2. There are two option window that show two options – Upcoming courses and Ongoing courses.
  3. Enrollment for the upcoming courses is open for the candidates.
  4. Click on the desired course that you wish to pursue.
  5. You will see an option “JOIN” for each course.

All NPTEL online courses (NOC) are part of Swayam Portal Now. One should visit swayam portal Swayam Central to register for a course. NOC are offered in a controlled fashion. New courses are added by NPTEL during every semester. New sets of courses are offered twice in a year.

Details about each course can be found in the Course introduction page – please click on any course to know more. Select the course you wan to do and then click “Join” Next, it will ask you to select Gmail Account; select an account from which you want to register. Next, a form will get open.
