How did EA become so greedy?

EA Games is greedy so they are focusing on profit while neglecting the customers altogether. Focusing on customers will yield greater profit, after all, they will be the one buying games.

For many, what made EA so specifically evil was a mismatch between form and function. Here this company is supposed to be making fun games and making money from it, but they seem to run afoul of players and consumers at every turn.

They keep subscribed which means EA makes small amount of money monthly or yearly. Since they are subscribed and have access to dozen of games, they are likely to spend money on DLC or MTX or maybe buy game that only has 10h trial because they enjoy game.
