Does 2 motors double power?

When two motors are connected on a same shaft and are run at same speed, the torques would definitely add up, but the speed (rpm) won’t change. A motor always provides the torque which the load requires.

You can not connect two dc series motors in series and as well as in parallel. Either you can connect them in series or in parallel. If you want both of the connections simultaneously you require 4 motors not two motors.
