Do you trust Glassdoor reviews?

Personally, I have found Glassdoor reviews to be accurate most of the time—but not always. I have read reviews that did not reflect the experience I had at that company at all. Ultimately, an employee’s experience depends on their role, their team and their manager.

Is Glassdoor safe to use?

Glassdoor is a great place to search for and apply to jobs in addition to researching companies and salaries. When it comes to security Glassdoor says that your information is protected and says that any reviews that you write will be completely anonymous.

Does Glassdoor review reviews before posting?

Each review that is submitted to Glassdoor is moderated prior to being posted. It can take up to 48 business hours for the moderation process to be completed, depending on the volume of reviews we are receiving. Once a review has been approved, it can take an additional 24 hours before it appears on the site.

Why you shouldn’t trust Glassdoor reviews?

After a bit of research, I’ve come up with 10 reasons why you shouldn’t trust Glassdoor:

While most job seekers have to give a review, salary report, or another user-generated piece of content to get access to Glassdoor, students can bypass this give-to-get model. Students will get 12 months of unlimited access to Glassdoor when they sign up with their student (. edu) email address.

Salary details on Glassdoor are more likely to be accurate for larger companies with many reviews versus smaller companies.
