Are motorcycle fog lights legal?

According to RTO, fog lights are allowed on bikes if they are mounted below the headlight and total power consumption is less or equal to the headlight. This can increase visibility during the foggy conditions (advised to turn off the headlight). All other colored lights come under Aux lights and are not allowed.

What Colour fog lights are legal?

The fog lamp must be either white or bright yellow. Other colours are prohibited. Switching them on is allowed when visibility is considerably impaired and when they are used together with dipped beams or parking lights.

Are LED fog lights road legal?

In fast-moving traffic, those extra seconds could prevent an accident. LED bulbs are also great as fog lights or interior lights. However, please note that any LED bulbs used in your brake, sidelights or fog lights are not road legal, either.

LED lights are brighter than halogen, and most LED fog lights have a cooler colour temperature. They also match the look of xenon HID headlights much better than a halogen bulb could. It is worth noting, however, that fog lights are at their most efficient when the colour temperature is warmer rather than cooler.
