Will there ever be a Disneyland in the UK?

The London Resort is set to be a two-park resort with hopes of the first to open in 2024 and the second set in 2029. It is the most ambitious new attraction in Europe since Disneyland Paris in 1992.

Why is Disneyland Not in the UK?

In short – they don’t – but let me explain… Since the announcement of the resort in 2012, the British media have labelled the park “Disneyland UK”, mostly because the UK has no theme parks that reach the levels of Disney or Universal and will be our closest equivalent.

Is Disney building in England?

A NEW image of the London Resort dubbed “UK Disney World” reveals what to expect from the theme park, with the night-time image showing off the rides and attractions. The London Resort, which will be built on 535 acres of land on a former cement works in Swanscombe, Kent, is expected to open in 2024.

Is Disney Europe still open?

Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park reopened to the public on 15 July with the rest of the resort. On 29 October 2020, the resort closed again due a second nationwide lockdown. Disneyland Paris re-opened on 17 June 2021.

Would you go to a Disney theme park in the UK?

The UK is too wet and windy for a Disney theme park (unless it was built indoors of course) and I speak as someone who lives in the UK too. Yes I have had problems with some of the French CMs and their national attitude, but I doubt it would have been any better in Spain where its too darn hot anyway.

Why don’t the British go to Paris Disneyland?

Paris is on a lot of people’s itineraries. And it’s not like it’s so hard to get to for the British, especially since a certain tunnel opened, so there is no reason to believe they would have stopped going to Walt Disney World even if there had been a London Disneyland.

Why is Disney pulling out of the UK Kids channel business?

The move comes after the company failed to agree on new deals with pay-TV platforms Sky and Virgin. A spokesperson said that they ‘remain committed to our kids channels business’ with plans to ‘execute distribution agreements for Disney channels in many markets where Disney+ is also available’.
