Will Nova show up in the MCU?
It seemed like it was only a matter of time before the superhero Nova made his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel boss Kevin Feige promised fans he would show up soon. And, seven years later the time may be drawing closer. A new report indicates that a solo movie for Nova will begin production in 2023.
Was the Nova Corps destroyed by Thanos?
In 2018, in accordance to their usual operation, Thanos and the Black Order traveled to Xandar and invaded the planet, effortlessly destroying the Nova Corps. Thanos retrieved the Orb from the Nova Corps Headquarters, destroyed it and placed the Power Stone in the Infinity Gauntlet.
What happened to Xandar in the MCU?
In an alternate universe, Xandar was targeted by Ultron, who was in possession of all six Infinity Stones. As Ultron prepared to exterminate it, Captain Marvel arrived and stopped him, ramming him into Xandar’s core. However, Ultron was still able to harness the Stones’ power and decimate Xandar into oblivion.
Did the Nova Corps fight in endgame?
No, they did not. It turns out, directors Joe and Anthony Russo’s previous tease that a member of the Nova Corps appeared in the final battle of Avengers: Endgame wasn’t serious.
Was Xandar destroyed?
Xandar was the birthplace of the Nova Corps, and has suffered from many destructive sieges. Xandar was almost completely destroyed by the Luphomoid Zorr the Conqueror, but was saved by the timely intervention of Uatu the Watcher. Later still Nebula destroyed the planet, massacring the Xandarians and the Nova Corps.
Does Nova need his helmet?
The Nova Corps wear the same golden helmet (called “Gold Domes” by some), which grant power based on the individual members rank, with low-level Corpsman gaining more power as they ascend through the ranks to Millennians, Denarians, and Centurions.
Who destroyed Xander?
Xandar first appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy. The Xandarians had signed a peace treaty with the Kree Empire, ending a war between the two sides. However, Kree fanatic Ronan the Accuser used an Infinity Stone to attack Xandar in retaliation for the death of his father and forefathers.
Is Nova an avenger?
By the time of the series, Nova has served as a temporary Avenger. He also appears in the Last Hero Standing and Avengers Next limited series. Nova also assisted in the battle against Galactus in Last Planet Standing.
