Why is there no Nuclear Winter Fallout?

Nuclear Winter, Fallout 76’s battle royale mode, is saying goodbye. The mode will be permanently removed in a September update, according to an official post by Bethesda. The mode simply hasn’t proved popular enough to justify its inclusion, the company said, and Bethesda will be prioritizing the game’s Adventure Mode.

Can it snow in Fallout 4?

There’s not enough change in elevation that you could justify having some areas that are permanently snow covered and some that are not. So if you wanted some areas to occasionally appear snow covered, you’d have to create two sets of textures for everything outdoors in those areas.

While the BR mode is nuclear toast, Bethesda does plan to show off a new PvP mode for Fallout 76 later this year to replace Nuclear Winter. The battle royale mode is still available to play until then.
