Why FASTag has been blacklisted?

A blacklist of tag means vehicle is not allowed to pay through FASTag at the toll plaza. There are various reason of blacklisting of Tag, i.e. Tag is not having sufficient balance in his FASTag account. In such cases Customer should call his bank toll free call center numbers and get the reason of blacklist.

How do I get a government car FASTag?

Scanned copies of the below documents are required while submitting the application for the exempted FASTag:

  1. Duly Filled Application Form.
  2. Registration Certificate (RC) of the Vehicle.
  3. Identification Proof (ID Proof) – Aadhaar, DL, PAN, Govt. ID Proof, Voter ID.
  4. Proof of Exemption as applicable.

How do I fix my blacklisted FASTag?

To activate blacklisted FASTag, please recharge the FASTag as soon as possible. If the problem still persists, please call your bank customer care number toll-free number to understand the reason for the blacklisting.

Why does the government take toll tax?

Toll tax is one of the many taxes levied by the government. Toll tax is used for road construction and maintenance purposes. Therefore, it covers the costs of newly built toll roads by charging the toll tax. It also charges for maintaining the toll roads.
