Why does Gideon want Grogu?

He wanted Grogu to extract his midichlorians to (probably) use the Force. You know who else has a lightsaber, black cape, snazzy chest plate, and a high midichlorian count.

What do they want with Grogu?

Pair that with his obsession with capturing Grogu as a midi-chlorian “donor,” and it’s very possible that he’s hoping to transfer the Child’s Force abilities to himself and become a full-fledged Sith to restore the Dark Side and the Empire in the aftermath of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine’s deaths.

Why is Grogu important?

As Dave Filoni mentions, there’s a “huge responsibility” in putting the character they created next to someone like R2-D2, but it’s necessary to show that Grogu is a character who, for The Mandalorian, represents what the original trilogy characters did so long ago; that he can stand with them and is worthy of it.

Why did Mando’s face scan work?

They scan the face to monitor who used the terminal. The Empire is in ruins and there are many different factions, so they probably don’t have records for every troop from offworld anymore. They might not even keep such a database for the same reasons that the Rebellion wouldn’t have – OpSec.

Does Grogu commit genocide?

Baby Yoda fans outraged after he commits “genocide” in The Mandalorian season 2. The eggs that Baby Yoda eats are some of the last remaining eggs of an almost extinct alien frog species. In other words, he plays a vital part in killing off an entire species.

Could grogu be the second Mandalorian Jedi?

Now that Din has the Darksaber and could learn to become the Mandalore, then it may be setting up a future where Grogu sides with him, choosing the Force but also his family, which could even stretch as far as being the second-ever Mandalorian Jedi.

Why did Din turn the child over to the Mandalorian?
