Why do you have to dry clean down comforter?
We do not recommend to have your comforter dry cleaned because the harsh chemicals are not good for the down. But, dry cleaning is the sure way to prevent any shrinkage so we put that option on the care tags.

Can you air dry a down comforter?
Air drying is not recommended for a down comforter. If the down on the inside is not completely and thoroughly dried, it can quickly develop mildew and mold. Not only that, air drying a down comforter takes forever.
Can I put a goose down comforter in the dryer?
Dry the comforter in an XL capacity dryer on low. This may take a few hours but will ensure that all the down is completely dry to prevent mold growth. You might want to add a few tennis balls to the dryer to help fluff the down as it dries. The goal is to prevent the down from clumping and mushing together.
