Why do parents not want the car light on?

Parents tell their kids that they cannot turn the lights on in the car while they are driving because when they do it adds additional light which can be blinding to the driver. This is all about the safety of everyone who is in the car at the time. It is really not safe to turn on additional lights inside the car.

Why is it bad to turn on the light in the car?

Lights inside a vehicle at night are distracting to the driver and possibly to people driving other cars. They can also glare on the glass making it more difficult for the driver of your car to see the road. Use inside lights only as necessary at night in a car.

Because your eyes adjust to the light level inside the car and it decreases your ability to see outside the car. Higher end luxury cars or custom vans have directional interior lights so they won’t interfere with drivers vision as much. , I’ve driven a lot of things, and flown a few.
