Romance is generally intended to invoke an emotional response. Thus, it is uncomfortable if one is trying to repress one’s emotions. Of course, that is not the only reason. Many people, not just INTJs find romance, in particular PDA (public displays of affection) to be uncomfortable and cringe-worthy.

So many people are scared of relationships because they have a fear of love. What lives inside of this urge is the subconscious awareness that to love means to open yourself to the possibility of getting hurt by losing the one you love or being rejected by them.

Why do I get told I’m beautiful but Men Don’t Notice Me?
Why do I get told I’m beautiful, yet men don’t notice me? Self confidence is extremely attractive. If you come across as “oh woe is me. Nobody likes me”…. then even if you are very attractive, most guys won’t bother with you. That said, it is possible that you are the hawt girl, and not know it.
Can a guy be ugly and still be attractive to women?
If you are able to attract a woman with those things, most women (not all) will forget the fact that you don’t look like a perfectly sculpted male model. A guy can be overweight or “ugly” (in your eyes), but to her he will be attractive.

Even though women will go around SAYING that they only want a good looking guy or a handsome man, it does not mean that they cannot feel attracted to average looking or “ugly” men for other reasons. People can SAY whatever they want, but what you should focus on is what they actually DO.
