Why didnt they take the ring to valinor?

The Ring had to go with someone of no account, no ambition, someone no one in all Middle-earth would think a threat. Basically because Elrond told the attendees at the Council of Elrond that those in Valinor would not accept the Ring, that it was a problem for the inhabitants of Middle Earth to solve.

Will elves take the ring to Valinor?

Sauron himself expected this very fate at the beginning of the 2nd Age and fled into the east and hid in order to avoid it. But, the host of the Valar just sailed away back to Valinor and left him to plot in peace.

The Valar can die, eventually or at least Melkor/Morgoth will die, the end of time was to be a battle between Fëanor, Tulkas, and the reincarnation of Túrin Turambar, and Túrin is to kill Melkor. So eventually Valar can die.
