Why did Obi Wan disappear when killed?

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s body disappeared when he died because he learned how to transform into a Force spirit. This technique involves bridging the gap between the Living Force and the Cosmic Force, enabling an individual to effectively live on after their physical death.

Why didn’t Qui Gon disappear when he died?
