Why did Lord Indra start getting worried?

Once Lord Shiva blessed Narada to meditate in Tapovan, a forest for tapasya (meditation), and no one would be able to disturb him. He started his meditation and this became the matter of concern to Lord Indra as he was worried about his aim of meditation. Indra then approached Kamadev, the god of Love, to disturb him.

Why is Indra so weak?

The gods, without exception, (when their merits cease), have to take birth as mortal creatures also (when they acquire sufficient merit), succeed in attaining to the status of gods. Thus Indras are not comparable to forms of Brahman like Vishnu or Shiva. Thus Indra seems to be weak.
