Why are gyms air conditioned?

Nowadays the majority of gyms are air conditioned for many reasons. Air condition is installed in gyms to keep the atmosphere cool and comfortable or eliminates germs and sweat. Moreover, people exercise more in the comfortable environment. Unfortunately, in the cold atmosphere body takes a lot of time to warm up.

Is it good to have AC in gym?

If you are in an air-conditioned room, your body will cool down more rapidly than it is supposed to and this will dry all your sweat almost immediately – this makes you prone to catching a cold. If you work out in an AC gym, you will have to exercise for longer just to reap the benefits.

Yes. Fan or air conditioner has no impact on workout apart from regulating the temperature. Working out at a hot temperature can cause intense sweating and a high amount of fluid loss that can hinder performance. Fan or AC can lower the temperature to make the work out more comfortable.

AC gym is best for obesity control: AC helps you workout for longer period. This is why celebrities prefer AC gym but athletes don’t. Some athletes do workout in AC gyms these days because it is hard to find non-AC gyms in posh areas. But they still go outside to practice running etc.

If you work out with the AC on, you will sweat less which means you will lose lesser toxins while working out. It doesn’t benefit your body that much. Non-AC gyms have an upper hand as your muscles warm up faster which smoothens the workout process. Working out without AC makes your body sweat a lot and flashes more bad toxins out of it.

If your gym is located in an area that is commonly muggy, an air conditioner can help regulate humidity by condensing hot, moist air out of the building.

Why does the air conditioner make you tired during workouts?

So, while warming up the body, it extracts most of your energies which makes you tired and exhausted easily. So, in that case, you hardly left with the energies to work more passionately on other workouts. If the air condition is on, it will make your body cool down faster.
