Why am I nicer to strangers than my family?

People know that, maybe unconsciously. However, this tolerance get offhand, so families often appear mean to each other, which is sad. We are nicer to strangers just because they cannot see the real us within a short period of time. We often treat strangers with an arms’ length of respect than our family.

Why do I care about strangers?

We are the evolved species in the planet; Human beings are social animals, hence caring about others will actually make you feel way better about yourself and it will also restore your faith in humanity seeing others doing so. Because we live in a global community.
