Who would win between Ned Stark and Jaime Lannister?

Jaime. Ned Stark is a shown to be a much better fighter in the show than in the books. Prior to losing his hand, Jaime had a reputation as one of the finest swordsmen in Westeros, topped only by Ser Barristan himself. Ned is a perfectly capable fighter, but far from a legend like Jaime.

Who stabbed Ned Stark in the leg?

While fighting, one of Jaime´s soldiers steps forward and stabs Ned in the leg from behind. Jaime is furious and he knocks out the soldier. He then orders withdrawal and he says to Ned that he wants his brother back.

Physically, he was average. Nothing special, unlike his older brother, Brandon Stark, who was larger, had the “wolf’s blood” and loved fighting. As for training, Ned was raised like his sons; he trained under specialists and practiced almost everyday, most likely, with the best castle steel and armor in the North.

How could he have found it out? It’s a reasonable guess to say he found out on the day he had his near-fatal accident, and found out in the simplest way possible – by seeing Jaime and Cersei together as lovers rather than siblings.

Killing Ned was a show of independence from House Lannister. His weak ego hurt the Lannisters along with the entire kingdom. The best plan was sending Ned out of the city. Probably Cersei would have arranged to murder him on the road to the Wall.

While Theon Greyjoy is obviously not born into the Stark family, as he’s a member of House Greyjoy, he is brought in to be with the Stark family from a young age. Theon goes through a true rollercoaster journey throughout the show, and he always proves himself to be a great fighter along the way.

Who did Jaime Lannister fight in the books?

The only person Jaime had ever fought at this point in the show is Ned, who is already dead. But if we had to make a guess based on the books, I can think of a few possibilities.

Another interpretation might be that Jaime is thinking of people who have beaten him, broadly speaking. In that case, Jorah Mormount could be replaced with Robb Stark, who outsmarted and captured him earlier in the war. I guess it’s worth noting that any way you slice it]

In 276 AC, when Jaime was ten years old, Lord Tywin hosted a tourney to celebrate the birth of young Prince Viserys Targaryen. During this tourney, Tywin suggested to King Aerys that Jaime could squire for Rhaegar Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone, but Aerys refused and named the sons of other lords to the position instead.
