How strong is the t800?
T-800s are very strong. They can “dismantle” your average zombie (which traditionally are seen as decomposing and thus not structurally sound) pretty easily. If they had to do this 50,000 times, that’s okay.

Why can’t The Terminator travel back in time?
The problem is, this Terminator is composed entirely of liquid metal. No living tissue, no flesh, just 100\% mimetic-poly alloy (thank you, James Cameron). That means, according to the rules clearly established in the first movie, it cannot travel back in time. But, it does.
What happened to the Terminator’s skin?
The damaged skin would suffer from rot just like any other skin. It’s also possible that the Terminator, given a short-term job, wasn’t taking as careful care of itself as it would have needed to to keep the skin shell alive. He’d taken a lot of damage, and while it hadn’t damaged his endoskeleton, he bled profusely.
