Knowing this, Arjuna got enraged as Vrishaketu was very dear to him, more than Abhimanyu, as he was his elder brother Karna’s son and took an oath to kill Babruvahana or immolate himself if he gets defeated. Arjuna fought with Babruvahana and went on the upper hand. Babruvahana defeated Arjuna and killed him.

Why did Krishna marry Aravan?

Aravan and Mahabharata God Krishna assumed female form (Mohini) to honour Aravan’s sacrifice and married him for one night as no other woman wanted to marry a man destined to die the next day. You can still find Aravan being worshipped as the local deity in a few villages in present-day Tamil Nadu.

Who killed Alambusha?

Alambusha, also known as Shalakantaka, was a Rakshasa, who fought on the Kaurava side in the Mahabharata war. As described in the Bhishma Parva of the Mahabharata, he was the one who killed Arjuna’s son Iravan, and as described in the Drona Parva, he was eventually killed by Bhima’s son Ghatotkacha.

Alambuṣā (अलम्बुषा) is the name of an apsara who fell in love with a vasu named Vidhūma at the Court of Brahmā, according to the Kathāsaritsāgara, chapter 9. After being cursed by Indra, Alambuṣā got reborn as Mṛgāvatī, the daughter of King Kṛtavarman.

Who is Amba in the Mahabharata?

Amba was the eldest daughter of King of Kashi in the Hindu epic of the Mahabharata. Along with her sisters Ambika and Ambalika, she was taken by force by Bhishma from their Swayamvara. (Bhishma challenged the assembled Kings and Princes and defeated them.)

Once Alambusha seduced a king called Trinabindu. They got married and a girl called Idavida (Ilabila) was born to them. She in tuen, married Vishravas and their son was Kuber. Trinabindu and Alambusha also had three sons named Vishala, Dhumaketu and Shunyabandhu, as per Bhagavata Navamaskanda Chapter 2 verses 31 -33.
