Who is required to strictly obey all lawful orders?
Notice the oath states, “I will obey the orders of the President of the United States…”, but the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) Article 90 states that military personnel need to obey the “lawful orders of his/her superior.
Do officers interact with enlisted?
Yes. There is no policy preventing Officer’s from “hanging” with “Enlisted”. They are just not allowed to: live together, date or have sex, or participate in any sort of financial dealings.
Can a soldier disobey an illegal order?
Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice makes it a crime to disobey a lawful military order or regulation. You can be considered to be in violation of Article 92 if you intentionally violate or fail to follow an order. This means that you can be guilty under Article 92 for an intentional or negligent act.
