Who can use WhatsApp pay in India?

Users can send or receive money once they have added their bank accounts to WhatsApp. Users will have to accept the Payments Terms and Privacy Policy. You will have to grant permission to verify via SMS. Only banks supported by WhatsApp UPI will be listed.

Is WhatsApp payment available in US?

Payments are transferred instantly. The Novi pilot was originally available in the US and Guatemala, but WABetaInfo notes that users in Guatemala won’t be able to access the new WhatsApp payments functionality. Instead, they’ll have to continue using the standalone Novi app.

  1. Open the chat with whom you’d like to send money.
  2. Now tap Attach, then select Payment.
  3. Tap Continue to verify your debit card information.
  4. Enter the last 6 digits of your debit card number.
  5. Provide expiration date, tap Done.
  6. Now setup UPI PIN.
