PESIT is mostly known for its computer related branches (Computer Science and Information Science) whereas VIT is known for its core branches. For IT and tech branches, PESIT by far outperforms VIT in terms of placements, quality of education delivered, lecturers and opportunities.

RVCE does not have more than a 15\% or so management quota; VIT is almost a graded management institution and price decides the seat along with how bad you are in VITEE. VIT is not the #1 choice of TN colleges.
