Is CBSE and NIOS syllabus same?
Are the syllabi for CBSE and NIOS the same? – Quora. The only difference is unlike CBSE, you wont have exams of class 11 and 12 separately. In NIOS, your senior secondary exam will cover the entire syllabus of the course so you need to learn the entire syllabus thoroughly.

Does NIOS provide free books?
NIOS claims to provide the simple course content books itself to each student however the fact is many students do not receive the books due to shortage. Sometime books are sent to Study centers and student need to collect the books from their study center.
Can I get NIOS books from study Centre?
The books will be either delivered at your address or to the AI center which you have filled in the application form. You can take the material from the center by showing your enrollment number or identity card. You can download the NIOS syllabus of your assigned subjects.
Are NIOS and Ncert books same?
Coming to the value of these boards, both national boards are autonomous under the MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE AND DEVELOPMENT (MHRD) and the certificates provided by them are valid everywhere in INDIA and in certain institutions abroad. So, both the boards are equal and valid.
Are NIOS books good?
These books are not entirely reliable, as they are not comprehensive, and upto the mark, from the IAS exam perspective. Thus, you should complement the knowledge given in these books, with other study materials. it is not necessary to study both- NCERT and NIOS – books for each subject.
Is Ncert and NIOS books same?
The core syllabus is same but the way of presentation and course load is different. NIOS books are easier to understand and the syllabus is less than the NCERT. For NIOS, I would not recommend you to study from NCERT as it will take far more time and NCERT is not easy to grasp by students on their own.
