When did CAA and NRC started in India?

The first move was the new Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) enacted in December 2019 to facilitate fast-track citizenship for non-Muslim residents of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan who came to India on or before 31 December 2014.

What is CAA and NRC Quora?

CAA is Citizenship Amendment Act. NRC is National Register of Citizens. The problem is not with any of them but when they are used together. NRC checks the citizenship of people living in India, the only proof of citizenship is birth certificate (land documents are also considered).
