What would happen if Sansa went with the Hound?

If Sansa had left King’s Landing with the Hound, he would have delivered her to Catelyn Stark at Riverrun for ransom. This would have led her to accompany the Tully and Stark hosts to the Twins for Edmure’s wedding and getting raped and killed brutally.

Why did the Hound stop Sansa from killing Joffrey?

She didn’t want Sansa harmed because of possible retribution to Jaime. Joffrey would only abuse her when Cersei wasn’t around, and the Hound would have informed on him to Cersei before the events of the Blackwater.

Why does hound protect Sansa?

The Hound is protective of Sansa because she is a damsel in distress looking for a true knight to save her. The Hound is that true knight despite the fact he is disguised by a mean exterior disenchanted with knighthood and the world, and a disfigured face.

There are several reason why Sansa didn’t leave with The Hound: She didn’t completely trust him. True, out of everyone in King’s Landing, he seems to have been one of the few who has shown her any kindness.

Sandor has proven himself to Sansa many times, by saving her life, confiding in her, protecting her, etc. To the reader, it is clear that Sandor develops a bond with Sansa. I assume the reason she stays is that she is afraid of him, and she hesitates long enough for him to leave.
