What parts of the mission are safe?

Using San Francisco’s Mission District as an example, one would assume that the most populated streets late at night are the safest. Therefore, the streets that are perceived to be safer for a pedestrian are those located near public transit and open businesses in the main thoroughfare — Mission, 16th, and 24th.
