What is the difference between language tone and language accent?

As nouns the difference between tone and accent is that tone is (music) a specific pitch while accent is (linguistics) a higher-pitched or stronger articulation of a particular syllable of a word or phrase in order to distinguish it from the others or to emphasize it.
