What is corneal abrasion?

A corneal abrasion is a superficial scratch on the clear, protective “window” at the front of your eye (cornea). Your cornea can be scratched by contact with dust, dirt, sand, wood shavings, metal particles, contact lenses or even the edge of a piece of paper.

What does entropion look like in humans?

A person with entropion will notice that their eyelashes and skin are rubbing against the cornea of the eye. This causes the eye to water, as well as inflammation, discomfort, irritation, or pain. The eyelid may turn inward permanently, or it may only happen when the person shuts their eyes tightly or blinks hard.
