When SEALs are preparing for a mission, their days are filled with physical training. These might include soft sand beach runs, two-mile ocean swims, weight workouts, obstacle course runs, PT, or skills training — which means parachute, dive or weapons training. SWCC are extensively trained to execute high-risk warfare and reconnaissance missions in river and coastline settings. As a member of this tightly-knit community, you may: Insert and extract SEALs and other Special Operations personnel from a variety of Naval Surface Warfare vessels.
What is Navy SWCC training like?
SWCC training is 22 weeks long. This highly-demanding physical and mental training consists of 2 weeks of Indoctrination (administrative and physical preparation), followed by 8 weeks of Basic Crewman Training (BCT), and 12 weeks of advanced Crewman Qualification Training (CQT).
