What happens if I qualify for Stage 1 NTSE?

NTSE Scholarship 2020-2021 – National Council of Education and Research (NCERT) will award the NTSE 2020 scholarship. This scholarship is given to Class 10th students who pass stage 1 and stage 2 exam. NTSE scholarship amount 2020 will be provided up to doctoral level for pursuing courses in science and social science.

Is qualifying NTSE really important?

An NTSE scholar can pass the admission test of a college and get direct entry to it. Qualifying the scholarship exam is an added advantage when you apply for jobs. An NTSE scholar is given more preference in government jobs and is also helpful when appearing for interviews in different prestigious jobs.

What is the criteria for qualifying NTSE Stage 1?

NTSE Eligibility 2022: Educational Qualification for Stage 1 The candidates who wish to give NTSE exam in class X must have cleared the class IX examination from a recognized board. The candidate must have completed the class IX examination with a minimum of 60\% marks.

What happens when we qualify NTSE?

Candidates who got shortlisted in the stage 1 examination will be eligible to appear for the exams. The NTSE exams are held in two papers: Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Furthermore, the scholarship will be awarded to students who will successfully clear both stage-I and stage-II.

What happens if a student does not qualify for NTSE Stage 2?

This should be noted that, If a student attains cutoff marks but fails to qualify any of the sections, then he/she will not be selected for the NTSE stage 2 exam. NTSE stage 2 is a national level examination conducted by NCERT. Indian students studying abroad in class 10 can appear directly in the NTSE stage 2.

When will the NTSE Stage 1 exam be conducted in 2021?

NTSE stage 1 exam has been conducted on December 12 and 13, 2021 for most of the states. NTSE stage 2 exam 2021 has been postponed due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.

Who is eligible to write NTSE 2020?

The candidates studying in open or distance learning are also eligible to write NTSE 2020, provided they are less than 18 years of age, not employed and are appearing for Class X board examination for the first time. Only the students who qualified in stage 1 (state-level examination) are eligible to appear for Stage 2 examination.

What is the age limit for NTSE exam?

This examination is conducted for students from Class X. The candidate can take up the examination only if he/she is an Indian national or Indian origin person studying abroad. The upper age limit for appearing in NTSE examination is 18 years.
