What happened to Boruto right eye?

The Jōgan (淨眼, lit. Pure Eye) is a mysterious dōjutsu that is implied to belong to the Ōtsutsuki Clan, and as been stated to be troublesome. Boruto Uzumaki has so far been the only wielder of the dōjutsu, having awakened it in his right eye.

With all these evidences, it seems Jougan represents the pure Chakra originated from Hagoromo and Hamura’s combined power. Boruto inherited Jougan because of his bloodline from Hinata and Naruto, not because Toneri or someone mysteriously gave him the eye.
