What does it take to be a pilot in Malaysia?

Malaysian citizen, age between 18 to 26 years old (as at the date of application) Pass SPM or its equivalent qualification recognized by Malaysian Government with six (6) credits including Bahasa Malaysia and a minimum of B in Mathematics, Physics and English taken at one sitting OR.

Average Overall Cost to obtain a Private Pilot’s Licence is between RM45,000 and RM65,000 and includes the rental of the aircraft (inclusive of fuel, oil, insurance) and the Instructors’ fee. What to study if I want to be a pilot?

If you aspire to become a pilot in your life, you must first choose your Higher Secondary Course with subjects including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. You must have scored a minimum of 50\% in these subjects to be able to join an Air flying school.

Yes, Malaysia a good country for obtaining CPL. For the CPL/IR licence, a cadet pilot will require a minimum of 200 hours of flying of which 165 hours are on single engine aircraft and 35 hours on twin engine aircraft. Maximum age limit for CPL/IR course:- There is no age limit for taking the course.

How long does it take to be a pilot in Malaysia?

The duration on average of the CPL/IR course is 24 months – This is to ensure the continuity of an effective academic program and flight training necessary to obtain a Commercial Pilot’s Licence.
