What do Rangers carry?

Rangers carry the M4 and utilize the new SOPMOD 2 package, which includes the EO Tech 553 holographic reflex site, LA-5 infrared laser, foregrip, the M3X visible bright light (tactical light) and associated accessories.

What color berets do Rangers wear?

For years, the black beret has been the exclusive headgear of the Rangers, a small, elite force with a glory-covered history. Currently, only three Army units are authorized to wear berets: Airborne units wear maroon berets, Special Forces wear green (and are known famously as the Green Berets) and Rangers wear black.

Are there any combat medics in the 75th?

Yes there are combat medics in the 75th. Although we call them ranger medics. A combat medic must go through RASP with everyone else. After passing you will do pre-socm and then after go to socm for about a year. So it takes about a year and a half to join a batt after completing RASP.

What is RFR training for the 75th Ranger Regiment?

The 75th Ranger Regiment provides 100\% RFR instruction to all Rangers, from Private to Colonel, upon initial assignment to the unit and annually thereafter for refresher training. In addition to this formal training, RFR is fluidly integrated into training exercises when possible as an integral component of battle drills that are being conducted.

What is the 75th Ranger Regiment bleeder control kit?

The emphasis on controlling bleeding within the 75th Ranger Regiment is also apparent in internal standard operating procedures as every Ranger has been directed to carry a Bleeder Control Kit that is carried in a standardized location on their body.

How many Rangers have died from battle injuries?

Although the Regiment has sustained close to 400 battle injuries during this timeframe, to include 27 who were killed in action and 3 who died of wounds, none of these fallen Rangers passed away as a result of pre-hospital medically preventable causes. (7)
