What counts as a fursona?

A fursona (pl. fursonas, rarely furson/fursonae), [citation needed] is a furspeech portmanteau derived from the terms furry and persona, that refers to a (normally furry), character, persona, alter ego, avatar, or identity assumed by a person or player normally associated with the furry fandom.

Can a fursona be a human?

A morphic (or morph the Greek word for form, shape) is a furry character that has the body of a half-human, half-animal. Thus it is a character that is anthropomorphic, or partly human in appearance. For most, the term is contrastive with the term nonmorphic.

Do furries have to be animals?

Furries are people who have an interest in anthropomorphic animals, or animals with human qualities. While fursonas are each based on an animal — a dog, cat, reptile, bird, wild animal, or even mythical creature — they walk upright like humans do and often have a cartoon-like appearance.

Can you have a fursona and not be a furry?

Being a furry can only be determined by yourself, if you say you’re a furry then you’re a furry. Though yes having only one fursona does mean you’re a furry that is of you have already stated you’re a furry. In fact you could have no fursonas and still be a furry.

It’s not bad, but it could be bad to other people. However, if someone doesn’t like that you’re a furry, that’s okay. Just don’t talk to them about furry stuff and they should be chill. However, if they have the wrong definition of a furry, you have the right to correct them and show proof.

Why do furries say UWU?

uwu is often used to denote cuteness, happiness, or tenderness. Excessive usage of the emoticon can also have the intended effect of annoying its recipient. The emoticon has been popular in the furry fandom.

Does having an animal OC make you a furry?

Really, a Furry is just someone who draws/likes anthropomorphic animals. There isn’t a difference. At all. Furry is often used as a vulgar term, however, which is why people tend to deny they’re a Furry, even though there isn’t much difference.

What’s the difference between a Catboy and a furry?

Neko’s are half animal, and only contain ears and tails, while furries are full animals with human characteristics.
