What branch should I join to see combat?

By far, the biggest branch of the military is the Army. They’re going to be involved in the majority of land-based operations, so the infantry often sees combat.

Does Army Infantry travel alot?

Infantry soldiers see service within their armed forces all over the world. Domestically, they can be posted at a number of national locations and training facilities. Soldiers are often traveling or in remote locations for much of their careers.

Are you more likely to see combat in the Army or Marines?

There are 5 main branches in the military: the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. Usually, the Army has the most members responsible for land-based operations. As such, they are most likely to see combat.

There are non combat related jobs but you will always have to be in look out position through your navy career, and if someone trys to attack what ever ship you are on you will have to fight to defend yourself and others that are with you. You have to go to basic training, and you do not necessarily have to go to war.

The Marine Corps is more intense physically overall, because the Army is so big. Soldiers like cooks and mechanics don’t have a physically intense lifestyle in the Army. But if you’re Army Infantry or Artillery or Armor (tanks), then things are going to be just as demanding as the Marine Corps.

Is it better to join the Marines or the Army?

Then the Army is better since they typically only do deployments while Marines can be deployed to places like Afghanistan AND have to be out on a Navy ship at times. But if you want to be gone more, then the Marines would be better.

Marine ground combat divides into four parts: Marine sniper, Tank Crew marine, Amphibious assault vehicle crew marine (AAV) and Infantry marines. The infantry marines are trained as the deadliest fighting force in the world. They operate in close combat units across a range of military operations.

What is the difference between marine infantry and Army infantry?

The marine infantry, on the other hand, train as expeditionary forces that land from the ship and operate from the sea. While the army expects support from the headquarters with logistical help, the marine infantry does not have that luxury. Marine infantry must support themselves, remain lean and make use of resources efficiently.
