What is the best device for e-stim?
A very good entry-level device for E-Stim, in my experience, is the EMT-4 from Promed. The EMT-4 from Promed has 2 channels where we can connect 2×2 electrodes each. Of course, this gives us a lot of leeway for E-Stim! Above all, the EMT-4 from Promed is also so well suited for E-Stim, because it allows us to configure 2 custom programs.
What is stimming and why do people STIM?
People who stim might appear as if they’re intentionally moving or making noises in nonsensical ways that don’t serve an obvious purpose. But stimming does have a purpose; people stim to communicate, self-soothe, or even just because it’s enjoyable.
What is the difference between an e-stim unit and a violet wand?
E-Stim units operate in the low voltage, low current range, Violet wands are very high voltage and very low current. A Violet want is very visual, but it hard to use internally, and has some quite serious safety issues depending on the age of the unit. Most violet wand sets are antique collectors items and should be treated as such.
Why is ProMED emt-4 so well suited for e-stim?
Above all, the EMT-4 from Promed is also so well suited for E-Stim, because it allows us to configure 2 custom programs. This means nothing more than that we can adjust the settings for intensity, Hz, uS and also the running time of the program.
