Why are resources important in health and social care?
Effective use of resources is fundamental to enable health and social care providers to deliver and sustain high quality services for people. Who allocates healthcare resources in the US?
Proposals to reform the health care system implicitly or explicitly alter the way decisions are made on how health care services are rationed. The current system allocates health care services in a number of ways: by ability to pay, by physicians and hospitals, and by government decree.
Why is medicine so important?
Medicines are chemicals or compounds used to cure, halt, or prevent disease; ease symptoms; or help in the diagnosis of illnesses. Advances in medicines have enabled doctors to cure many diseases and save lives.
How do you answer the question why do you want to study medicine?
Show respect. The most important aspect to remember when answering this question is to stay entirely respectful of other medical professions. Acknowledge that there are other members of the medical team. Without them, the job of a doctor would be extremely difficult, and we would not function without them.
How do you answer what do you consider to be the role of the physician in the community?
It is the professional responsibility of physicians to use our medical knowledge, scientific expertise, and ethical training to work for better public health. We must have a particular sensitivity to the needs of those least able to speak for themselves, such as children and the economically and socially disadvantaged.
