Should you rest your forearms when typing?
Resting your arms or wrists on arm or wrist rests while typing requires forearm muscles to do most of the work. Instead, stronger shoulder and arm muscles should be used to “float” the hands over the keys.
Should forearms rest on desk?
Standing at a desk requires the desk be the correct height – your elbows should be bent to 90 degrees and the desk should be set to the height of your forearms. This means your shoulders are able to be in the relaxed position as your forearms rest on the desk.
