Should you laminate an art print?

The best reason to laminate your artwork is because it will protect it. Not just from the aforementioned spills and pet mishaps, but from other dangers, too, such as damaging UV rays. Just make sure that you choose a laminate with UV protection if you are worried about fading in sunlight.

Laminating posters using self-adhesive sheets If you decide to use self-adhesive sheets, you will pay around 20 dollars for a packet of 25 sheets, meaning you will use around one dollar per poster.

Does laminating a poster ruin it?

Laminating is adding adhesive to your artworks. You will be immediately destroying them. While the lamination may last, the artwork will be destroyed as soon as you do it. Framing them archivally, or storing them with conservation quality materials is the only way for them to last.

Can you print on clear laminate?

Transparent plastic sheets are useful for art projects, business presentations and teaching. You must use an inkjet printer, because a laser printer will burn your plastic sheet and destroy both your sheet and your printer. You cannot print on plastic if your printer is low on ink, because your print will be illegible.

Can inkjet print on laminate?

The reason this inkjet paper is so hard to laminate is that it is heavily coated and non-porous; the ink lays on top and very little, if any, gets absorbed by the inkjet paper.
