Please go to college and finish. Education is highly valued in the Navy and taking college courses is constantly advised for Enlisted sailors. If you get your degree before Naval service, you may be commissioned as an Officer. Officers make a lot more money than we do and are held to higher standards.
What is the best age to join the Royal Navy?
I would say that 19-22 is the perfect age for joining. Slightly younger (15, 16, 17) you probably still have a lot of growing to do, but at that age, you can shrug off all of the inevitable knocks that are sure to follow when you get to CTCRM!
