Is there a record of the guns I own?

There is no national database of guns. We have no centralized record of who owns all the firearms we so vigorously debate, no hard data regarding how many people own them, how many of them are bought or sold, or how many even exist.

Who invented the firearm?

The first firearms were created in China after the Chinese invented black powder in the 9th century. The earliest depiction of a gun dates back to the 12th century and the oldest existing firearm is from around 1288.
