It had more variety of styles, and in terms of mainstream, the sounds were better and more memorable, even today. The 90s (although my coming of age decade), has faded to the back of my mind, and while the music like Britpop, and Madchester was great for the time, I find myself rarely going back to it.

What kind of music would you like to hear from the 80’s?

The 80′s had some of the most varied music you could hear. Plenty of it puts today’s music to shame which could be a reason why a generous portion of it is being sampled and/or covered (I.e. Weezer). As far as what music YOU would like, it mostly depends on what music you like now.
